Mortal Prison

Oh, mortal shell that I wear,
trapped within its prison cell.
How long I for the freedom of immortality,
the open flight of Spirit
far beyond this mortal world.
Long have I sought in vain
for this freedom of the Soul.
Long have I sought to find this joy
for my mortal self.

Who shall free those trapped
within the prison of mortality?
Who shall journey this world
filled with dying mortals,
yet walk immortally?
Who shall unlock the chains of sin and doubt,
that bind all within this mortal shell?

A Holy Son, born of mortal woman and Divine Father.
He shall break each chain and bar
 of our prison cell.
For though He walked this mortal world
 and died a mortal death,
Death its hold could not keep,
Sin its stain would not hold,
For the Divine Father chose to restore
this His immortal Son.

Silver Chalice, in the nail scared hands,
Drink this His immortal blood
and cast aside the shell of mortality.
Yeshua, Holy Son, save us now

 by thy Divine plan.

Revelation...

What a revelation... Spoke with Matt today, I knew he was Christian Punk, but I just didn't realize subculture was what you would call that.  He helped me figure out some really good stuff both about me, and who I am.   Hippie, Gypsy, Traveler, Bohemian, those are the names for what I am, with a touch of course of Goth...  Gypsy Goth... that is what I am... that fits... if I use any kinda title, I guess.  Just good catching up with Matt!

Guess Gandalf will be saying of me next, "Not All Who Wander Are Lost."

Birth of a Ministry

I think I shall begin ministering in the underground, among my fellow subculture folks.  I have started a web-ministry.  I am calling it "The Chalice".  I am so excited and so nervous about this... but my heart is fulling in this.  I am ready to give my life to this, if this be my full journey-task.  Or this may be for a season, but I will give it my all until there is nothing else to give, or God moves me from this path.

Jump

A ledge, the edge, is this the end I fear?
Knowing not what lies beneath or beyond,
shall I take this step and met my rocky fate
or is there a path unseen
waiting for my first step?

Oh, fateful step of faith,
what waits for me at first step?
Life or Death?
Hope or fear?
Joy or pain?
I know not, yet still,

journey this path I must.

Seeds of Truth

Far a crossed the western sea,
there lies the land of no knowledge.
When the seeds of Truth take root therein,
a mighty tree will grow.

Storms, storms.

Beware least the roots begin to rot.
Beware least the tree should rot from within.
Mighty tree are now your roots shaken?
Mighty tree is now your trunk hollow?
For if the seeds of Truth do die,
so shall the tree fall.

(In old Irish tradition, the America's were referd to as the "land with no knowledge" or "land without knowledge of", this is were I get the term...)

A Teacher's Aid!

I asked what I could do to help in Youth Group to get "plugged in" now that I am a 19 year old, and not a high schooler.  Our Youth Ministry Director said the Middle School class could use a female prescience as the teacher's wife was expecting and had two preschoolers, thus was unable to attend any longer.  Thus I am now a teacher's aid in Samuel's class!  Tonight was the first night and it was awesome.  I have already come up with a saying, and it stuck.  "Keep all 6 legs on the floor.  4 of your chair, two of your body."  They had to stop and think about that one.  LOL!

Best Bday EVER!!!

Tonight was just awesome!  I turned 19 today, and unlike my 18th birthday this one ROCKED!  I got the St. Francis bird feeder I wanted, a copy of the complete LOTR trilogy in one BOOK!  Not only that, Daddy took me to see LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring!  Mind you, he sleep through the first 1/3rd of the movie while they were in the Shire, but at least he came with me.  Hee,hee!  Arwen Evenstar and Strider were even better then in the book, and yes, their love story is in the back if anyone cares to go check it out.  Now I think I shall finish the rest of the 2 books so I know how it ends, as I have only ever read "Fellowship" in the past.  It is great to be 19!

Welcome 2002!

2002 has dawned crisp and cold, on a day delightfully partly cloudy...  I love grey dark cloudy days so much.  Always have.  And this year promises to be an exciting one. I am looking into PC Repair training, just not sure where yet.  I am also seeking to go to Bethany College of Missions after that... who knows what this joyful year will hold?
