Revelations...

Sometimes in life we think we know and understand what is going on around us.We think we know what the one we love is saying, what they mean, and how life is meant to be.   Then we go about our lives together based on those understandings, meanings, and purpose... we scarfice things for the other.  We base our goals on the other and vise versa.  But what if one day you woke up to find out you had misunderstood each other for years?  That you had misunderstood each other? That you had changed things based on those misunderstandings?  Would it be like a light coming on in the darkness for you?  Would relief flood your streets?  Would joy overtake you?

For me the storm rolled in this past week.  7 years of misunderstandings, miscommunications, rough pasts, and giving things up thinking that is what had to be done... exploded messily.  But once the explosion was done and everything was out in the open, it was as though the light had been turned on in a dark cave, and all at once we could see beautiful art on the walls.  We saw each other in new lights, dreams long thought needed to abandon are picked back up, and we are so much more at peace together.

To Robby:

My love, my joy, what a blessing you are!
A companion to walk beside me,
A friend to share my joys and sorrows,
A soul mate to know my heart,
A warrior to fight for me in times of danger,
A gentleman to shower me with love.
A servant of God to serve along side,
This is the man who I love!

In Dine Bikeyah, at Last!

What an adventure the Move turned out to be!  We started out early in the morning on Monday, January 27th from Keavy, KY where we had been living. Day One went by with little issue other than bitter cold.  We stayed at Hurricane Mills, TN for the night, and headed out early on the 29th from there planing on making it to Poteau, OK.  Such was not meant to be.  We made it to just 20 miles east of Memphis, and "Stormy", our car broke down.  Thus we were there most of Tuesday and all of Wednesday.

Thursday saw us back on the road, and made all the way through Arkansas and a short way into Oklahoma before night fall.  After a good nights sleep on a soft bed, Friday, we headed onward through all of Oklahoma, Texas, and then to New Mexico.  Our hearts soared as we crossed under the "Welcome to New Mexico" sign.  Then it was a hard push on to Farmington.  We turned northwestward at Albuquerque, and hit snow crossing the badlands in the dark.  At nearly 11pm on the 31st, we made it into Farmington (Totah), New Mexico at last!

Broken Soul

Sometimes I think myself a lovely thing,
A woman of great beauty,
Yet within me rages a fury,
Deep and untamed
Dark and stained
Bloody life....

White face and darkened eyes,
They do hid this broken soul,
Sparkling eyes they do mask,
Broken dreams
And bitter fears....

Oh who will dry these tears?

Mt. Zion, my aim!

Dark lips,
Blue hair,
Tattered cloths,
Yet singing Your praise!

Unique,
Rejected,
Outcast,
Called for Your service!

Nothing to lose,
So much to gain,
Mt. Zion is my aim!

"Good" Friday

Black sky, black sky,
the Son to die.
Crimson tide from the tattered Soul.
Shadow cross, shadow cross,

O, such a loss.
Dark shroud for such a bitter end.

Bitter Days...

dark, dark lay my soul in bitter whoa,
for much that was is no more
and much that will be is not yet...
so much is lost and that now gone
so much never to be regained...
such was the pains of those bitter days
