St. Valentine's Weekend is such a festive time for us! Seeings as this year we live somewhere warm enough to do some fun outdoor adventuring, Robby and I hunted for a hiking trail not far away that "beginners", or re-beginners, could hike... Our goal, hike the Ringtail Trail to the Sunrise Trail junction, then return to the car. We nearly made it, but turned around a wee bit shy of the goal, because Robby was not in the best shoes for the hike...new hiking shoes seem to be in order soon. But it was a great start to our Valentine's weekend, as we got to see woodpeckers, lizards, and possibly and elf owl, but it was a wee bit to far out to tell for sure. Some wild flowers were beginning to bloom, making it feel like spring. In all, twas grand to be in God's creation, and not feel like we were in the city.

Honeymoon in Chicago!
What an adventure the past few days have been! Robby and I journeyed up to Chicago, on a scouting trip to JPUSA to see if we wish to do their year long internship called Project 12. This is also to be our honeymoon trip! True Chicago in the winter is not where most people would go, but when have Robby and I ever been most people? The loft we are staying in is glorious, though cold, but it is winter and to be expected. We are enjoying the time alone.... not in his parents home.
After some scouting, a tour of JPUSA's buildings, working with Skot and Rachel at the shelter, and shopping at the Free Store, The Alley, and Unique Thrift . Robby and I went with Skot and Rachel, plus alot of friends to drive around Chicago. First stop was the cemeteries of course! But our friend the Trickster, a lone coyote, was waiting in one. We quickly moved on, and ate at a tasty vegan cafe as some in our party are vegans. Then it was off for more driving around Chicago. I am nearly sure Skot knows where nearly every movie here was shot. LOL! Needless to say, this honeymoon was not normal, but still a blast!!!~ Morria

Didean Ranch...
June 7th, 2005, that is the day the idea for "Didean Ranch" (working title) was born. What does Didean mean? Nothing less than safe haven, shelter, and refuge! And that is what this homestead or homestead community will be. Though we (my friends and I) own not an inch of land, and not one stone is in place, "Didean Ranch" is a reality in the hearts of those who love the ranch.
Our plans our progressing well, though slowly. I found good info at the library, plus some in my own shelf. "Back to the Basic's" and "Homesteading" by readers digest are great books, and very helpful. We are unsure if to make it a mini village or just individual ranches, but what ever we do... it will be an adventure. May haps this is the birth of something a Gypsy Goth Gal could settle at!

Broken Wings...
Being a fool for Christ is not that hard, when you
have been a fool anyway. LOL. Then again, a fool for
Christ is a totally different breed of fool.
Living day to day is so strange and new...this is an
exciting adventure. I am now able to slow down and not worry so
much. If I have a job tomorrow, I will. If love lasts,
it will. If food is here, it is. I am not as far as I need to
be, but it is a start...and wow. Open road for this gypsy gal is
returning soon.
Filling out job apps today. LOL. We’ll see how
that goes… my luck not too far. Also, made a new friend in Robby "Jesus
Freak" Nickles... he is a good guy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fallen Angel with broken wings,
The ash clouding thine eyes.
When will the dust settle,
And the ink turn green?
Fallen Angel with broken wings
The ash choking thy song,
And the music ring true?
Fallen Angel now restored,
The ash now flown away,
Now the ink is green,
And the song is true.
Write and praise now,
Thy Holy King.
