Easter and Fresh Start...

He is Risen!
His Risen, Indeed!
Jesus is Alive,
And He Lives Forevermore!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I laid everything down again...  It is fitting, it is Easter Sunday after all... it is so freeing to lay everything down in His hands... and just relax in the One who lives forever!
In this week of struggle, when I have confronted my doubts, my fears, and came to realize no mater what my issue, I cannot deny that which I have heard, that which I have seen, and that which I have touched; God has been blessing me.
First it was the gypsy coin necklace... which I have been hunting for since Chicago.  Then it was the ivory lace kimono/duster.  Then ham and green beans for Easter diner.  Then a floor lamp with 3 lights and a dvd holder that matches our other one...  Everything we needed and some I just wanted...  Daddy Father, God, has been showering me with love when I needed it the most.  I am so blessed and loved.  "Thank you for saving this wandering Gypsy Gal! Amen!"
Springtime and a Passing...
Spring here in Tennessee is strange to me.  After 23 springs in Kansas, and one in Michigan, spending one in Tennessee is a change.  Easter has come and gone, with a cool, cloudy day Easter Egg hunt with the nieces and great-nephew (I married into be a great aunt, his mom is my age--- literally 3 days younger than me!)  Work is going well, though it is hard to convince our families that neither Rob nor I want fancy cars, homes, or stuff... travel  and ministry come first to us.  Though a few gypsy lamps and pirate chests are a great addition to our one room.  ^_^
April has brought the passing of Robby's grandma, Sylvania, which means neither of us have living grandparents.  I so wished I could have known her more, but she was to frail by the time I joined the family to talk much.  Robby says she would have loved me, I know the one time I got to braid her hair she fell asleep, a sign of deep trust. I wish I could have learned more from her, Robby says she had so much to share.  Where ever we head, I know her memory will travel with us.
St. Patrick's Prayer
This is the a Prayer that I am trying to memorize to use kinda like a daily creed.  It is attributed to Patrick of Ireland, and is sometimes called the "Deer's Cry", do to a legend stating that he shape shifted into deer while hiding from druids, who were seeking his life after he lit the fires his first Easter back in Erin.  More likely, he was hiding in the same thicket and the deer became scared by the approaching angry druids, but Patrick did not, as another version of the story goes.  Either way, even if neither version happened, it is an awesome testament of faith, and one I treasure.
Saint Patrick's Breastplate
I arise today to a might strength,
through the invocation of the Trinity,
Through the belief in the Oneness,
Through the confession of the Threeness,
Of the Creator of the Universe.
Christ within me,
Christ behind me,
Christ before me,
Christ to my right,
And Christ to my left,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I lay down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ on the lips of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in the eyes of everyone who sees me,
Christ in the ears of everyone who hears of me,
Both afar and anear!
I arise today to a might strength,
through the invocation of the Trinity,
Through the belief in the Oneness,
Through the confession of the Threeness,
Of the Creator of the Universe.
Salvation is the Lord's,
Salvation is the Lord's,
Salvation is Christ's alone!
Amen!
